CSR commitment: planète urgence

Because meaningful action is only a long-term process, POLYTROPIC is proud to make a 5th-year commitment to the Planète Urgence association, enabling it to continue its actions in the field in 2025.

The MAHAKAM program, run by the non-profit organization, combines economic development, raising public awareness, protecting endangered ecosystems and reforestation in Indonesia.

Why is it important?

Supporting projects to preserve endangered ecosystems, support women’s work as well as local educational initiatives is part of our commitments, in line with our CSR approach steered by our internal CSR Committee since 2020.

The aim: to restore mangroves along rivers and shellfish farms. The NGO trains fishermen in new sustainable aquaculture practices and supports women’s groups in the development of seafood processing activities, helping to improve household incomes. The project also raises children’s awareness of the importance of mangroves for their environment.
